{"id":2731,"date":"2012-01-31T23:30:07","date_gmt":"2012-02-01T05:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zimmerscope.com\/Verbisaurus\/?p=2731"},"modified":"2012-02-01T14:00:29","modified_gmt":"2012-02-01T20:00:29","slug":"build-and-grow-part-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zimmerscope.com\/Verbisaurus\/2012\/01\/build-and-grow-part-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Build and Grow, part II"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Saturday, 28 January 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You might remember from <a href=\"https:\/\/zimmerscope.com\/Verbisaurus\/2012\/01\/build-and-grow\/\">READING THIS BLOG POST<\/a> that I had read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daddysfishbowl.com\/2011\/11\/15\/lowes-build-grow-is-a-winner\/\">THIS BLOG POST<\/a> which discussed the fun of participating in <a href=\"http:\/\/lowesbuildandgrow.com\/\">THIS ACTIVITY<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So, today, Owen and I returned to Lowe&#8217;s. This time, he built a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/T._rex\"><em>Tyrannosaurus rex<\/em><\/a> (no, not a <em>real<\/em> one, a wooden one, silly).<\/p>\n<p>The <em>T. rex<\/em> kit included two sets of stickers: one set for making a funny dinosaur, and one set for making a realistic dinosaur. Owen decided to use the funny stickers on one side, and the realistic stickers on the other side. Way cool idea, I thought. Everyone else at the table just used the funny stickers exclusively. In fact, looking around, it appeared no one used the realistic stickers. I&#8217;m wondering why the preference for cutesy, fuzzy-wuzzy dinos. Cute puppies, now that makes sense. But when I think of carnivorous 6-ton dinosaurs, my mind doesn&#8217;t go to cute. Oh well.
